I have been writing songs for 20 years. My love of rhyming poetry goes hand in hand with a love of Irish and American songwriting traditions of past and present. Using simple song structures as a starting point, I build layer upon layer, writing songs that I hope will lift the heart and stir the imagination. My songs have been described by one listener as “philosophical ballads”. They range, however, from philosophical to political, from romantic to nonsensical. They are songs for the quiet evening, the late night, the early morning.
